Studio Insider Newsletter: November
/Studio Insider: Keeping you on top of the good stuff
If you are receiving this email, it is because you are an active part of our Miami studio’s ecosystem! The purpose of this newsletter is to keep our Studio Insiders (studio members, staff, interns, and resident artists) in the loop on what’s happening at the studio in the coming month. It’s meant to be a bare-bones run down to help you maximize your studio time and help you stay on top of deadlines, deals, and events. This email only goes out to the folks who we know might need it. Keep an eye out for it in your inbox!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Two copies of Our First Portfolio exchange, Under the Sun. One Copy is is open to reveal the Holographic front of the colophon, and The first two prints, in the box. The first, left, is by Christian Feneck, and the second, right, is by Brian Butler.
PORTFOLIO EXCHANGE ALERT!
One of the benefits of our studio membership. For a lot of folks, this is one of the most exciting perks of membership. For others, this may still seem to be a mystery. For those of you in the second camp, allow us to explain:
A portfolio exchange is a tradition in the print world. There is often a unifying theme or set of constraints proposed, and a list of artists are invited to participate. Every artist who participates will submit an edition of prints in the specified quantity, and in exchange, will receive back one print from every edition submitted by every artist participating.
This tradition is all about community and sharing, and is one of the coolest ways for artists to collect work from (and make work for!) other artists with whom they have something in common.
In this case, the official exchange invite will go out to a long list of artists who have been involved here at the studio since our last exchange. If you have been a studio member, intern, or artist in residence since after our last exchange open call went out, please keep your eyes peeled over the next week or so for a long email from us which spells out all of the details of this exchange.
And if you’re already excited about this possibility? You can start thinking about what you’ll make now. Here’s a preview:
The title of the exchange: Spare Change
Print Size: 11x14”
We’ll know how large the editions need to be once we have a headcount. We’ll keep you posted!
PICK UP YOUR ANNUAL PRINT!
Members: We owe you a print or two!
Members may recall that they have been promised an annual print for every year of membership, and it’s time we get those prints into your hands. For 12 months of membership, you can choose one print from the selection we’ve put together in a special drawer in the front. It includes prints which use a whole bunch of different techniques and from a wide range of time and artists in our history printing here.
Additionally, if you have a few cool prints kickin’ around that you would rather have living in the collection of our loving community members, please reach out to Brooke (via email at brooke@isprojectsfl.com) to arrange to donate some prints to the annual print drawer. Someone may use their credit to take your print home — yet another beautiful instance of community exchange here.
To get your print, all you have to do is pop in. The drawer is in our Museum Store up front, and if you tell us you’re here to pick up your annual print(s), we’ll help you browse and send you home with art!

LEARN + MAKE
Best time for workshops until 2025!
We only have a small handful to offer in November and December (those are busy months for everyone, right?) If you want to pick up some new skills before 2025 rolls around, now’s a pretty good time to take your pick.
If you miss the boat on workshops, though, you’re not out of luck!
You can always set up Private Instruction to learn at a time that works better for your schedule — just add one of the ones we have ready-to-go to your cart and check out through our website to book yours. We’ll reach out to schedule your private workshop ASAP. If you want to set up Private Instruction for something a little more off-the-beaten-path, you can still absolutely do so through this link. Members: You get 20% off on all Private Instruction! Search your emails from us for your code. If you’re purchasing through the website, use your member code at checkout. Members will find that scheduling Assisted Studio Time is more practical for one-on-one learning, but Private Instruction lets you set up a workshop for you and up to three other folks. As long as a member is booking the workshop, the discount applies to the whole purchase! We want it to be easy for you to share the things you love with the people around you.
Already know what you want to make? Come and make it:
We now offer Members-Only Studio Passes for either 7-day or 30-day time periods — you set the start date with us! We can only support 4 Studio Passes at a time — if you know you’ve got a busy month coming up, reserve yours ASAP.
Open Studio Sessions are posted through June! Members can reserve their spots in a session by purchasing it on our website.
